Matt and I had talked 2 weeks after Joshua was born about us getting married. Since we have been together for almost 11 years, we figure what's a piece of paper changing. Matt insisted in getting me a ring, but I did not want one. I have a beautiful ring he gave me for Christmas 6 years ago, and I am not a high maintenance girl that has to have a diamond. On September 20th about 4pm, Matt came home from work with a diamond skull necklace and asked me to marry him. The best part about this proposal was I was in the middle of breast feeding Joshua. LOL! Of coarse I said yes.
2011 has been one amazing year, and I have been blessed in so many ways.

Joshua is here!
Tuesday I got up at 5:45am, got dressed ate breakfast, brought Matt to work, I went to work till 3pm, picked Matt up from work and we went to our ultrasound for 4:15pm where we got the news there was not alot of fluid and I needed to go up to the maternity ward to go on a monitor for Joshua. Then were told we were staying and I was being induced later tomorrow (Wednesday). Matt wet outside to call all our parents and let them know. I was not dilated at all and the gave me Cervidil to soften my cervix, the doctor told me to hurry up and order dinner gave me a rundown of what to expect tomorrow and then I was alone in the room, shed a few tears from being overwhelmed & worried & text Matt to hurry back up. The cervidil was due to come out at 6am & then I would be induced later on Wednesday morning. They gave me 2 Ambien because they wanted me to rest & have a good nights sleep. Did not happen, contractions came & I was up moving around in the bathroom and got maybe an hour if that sleep. 5am I asked to go in the tub to relax because the contractions were pretty strong so they took out the Cervidil and let me get in. Tub= very relaxed for the contractions, too relaxed. LOL 10 mins in the tub and my water broke and I was being pulled out to get on the table and be checked. 4cm dilated.... then the contractions started coming really fast I asked if there something I could take to slow it down or relax me between because I was so tired from no sleep I wanted to be ready for later. The nurse said there was something they could give me to relax & be sleepy but when they checked me I was 9cm and then the Nurse said its too late & sent the other nurse to get the doctor. Too late? thought I was being induced?? LOL... So One hour of labor & at 8:18am Wednesday Joshua was out & laying on my chest. The whole time in labor I kept my eyes closed & focused for the most part on breathing, Matt was amazing he held my right hand rubbed my leg & kept telling me to breathe the nurse rubbed my other leg and did the same as she prepped the doctor. Pushing was intense when i got the okay to go for it. In between contractions I could hear the doctor & Matt joking & talking, the phone rang and they were like who is calling you, then i remembered my mom was gonna call and visit before I was induced, Matt ran & picked up the phone & hung it up. Then I heard Matt say during the next push I said I wouldnt look but I got to, he let go of my hand looked and said look at his alfalfa hairs push push!!! He grabbed my hand and the next contractions I pushed, pushed heard the nurse say push hard Amy right thru the burning, i was like what burning? and then it burned & Joshua was out and crying. He was wiped real quick and on my chest for Matt to cut the umbilical cord. I looked at him shocked that it was over. They took Joshua to weigh him and check him over. 15 mins after pushing him out Matt and I looked at each other and we were like huh, guess we should both call out of work now. LOL...
Im off to feed Joshua & got to bed. I will finish writing tomorrow... =)
I wanted to finish this last night but ran out of time.
The stay at the hospital was nice, the nurses were amazing in the maternity ward and they were all in love with Joshua. They tried to steal him both nights to let us sleep in between feedings.=) All the visitors that came, the flowers, balloons, gifts looked like we were having a party.LOL Was so surprised, being only at his new job for a week Matts new work sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers in a ceramic bear pot with balloons attached and an adorable stuffed bear for Joshua. On top of giving him this week off paid to be with me & Joshua. Speaking of Matt, he has been amazing & right here for everything, I felt bad the last couple days having to rely on him for alot because I was in pain, slow moving & lack of sleep. He even ordered my breakfast after the birth and fed me pancakes while breast feeding Joshua for the first time.He is an amazing Dad and its only been 4 days. He wants to do everything regardless if I need help or not. He ran out to stores and to get food today twice, and called me multiple times to check on us. I think he is gonna have a hard time Tuesday going back to work. Joshua & I are very lucky to have him, he takes very good care of us both. I love listening to him talk to Joshua about all the things he cant wait to do with him. =)
I will update again at another time... Gotta feed Wiggles and go to bed till the next round=

Patience Grasshopper...
Patience is the key =)
We have been patiently awaiting on multiple changes to take place for several months.
1) A healthy baby boy, Joshua:
I am 37 weeks along tomorrow.
Anxious for his arrival, everything is ready and the hospital bags are packed. Todays appointments went well, the doctor says he is a very happy baby according to the monitor and said you have like 5 hours left if you wanted apreterm baby, so Joshua can come anytime now. Matt's Dad is predicting this Saturday for the full moon will be Joshua's arrival. Matt wants any minute now, the moment I have a contraction or make a noise he perks up and is jumping to go grab bags and start the car. LOL I'm ready anytime, I got 3 weeks vacation and nothing planned. =)
2) Matt's new job:
After months of waiting for this job to open up and dealing with the bullshit at his current job, he starts his new job on August 22nd. Amazing benefits and busy season with overtime starts the end of this month, he is a little bummed that overtime and bus time will be right around Joshua's arrival but we are both okay with that fact knowing that come the holiday months things are going to be financially better then they have been the past 8 years we have been living on our own after graduation. Although after all the crap he has dealt with at work for his current job, they changed his boss and Matt really likes him and the boss really likes Matt. He took it to heart when Matt put in his 2 weeks notice & begged him to stay. Matt was truthful with him about the way he had been mistreated at this company for 3 years now with only a .20 cent raise in 3 years and constant issues with the old boss, then the new benefits and job he was going to and his boss told him to go and did not blame him for leaving and looking out for us & Joshua's best interest.
3) A new home, The Flying Witch Farm:
The closing date for the Farm is September 20th, and then the work to be done and painting party before the actual moving in date. Friday Matt's Dads will be moving into the Penthouse until we all move up to the farm, since the closing sale on the trailer is next week. Matt and I are very excited to move up to the farm with the Dads and be able to raise Joshua up there. The financial end will be awesome for all of us, the space and ability to live off what we are raising in the gardens and animals. Matt and I always said we wanted to own a house before having a baby, but we realized last year when we made the decision to try for a baby we were not going to be able to own a house and that was okay. Knowing we will be moving to the farm has really made Joshua's arrival even more amazing. We are looking forward to living and sharing space with the Dads, having a positive atmosphere for us and Joshua, and the fact that myself and Mike cook for an army for most meals will come in useful trading off cooking nights & cooking for more then 2 people. There shall be plenty of food at the Flying Witch Farm! LOL... Bring on the Holidays and the extreme amounts of delicious goodies! Nom nom nom!
4) A lifetime friend:
As crazy busy as I have been, and mind racing with things to get done, starting this vacation off spending time with an old friend I dont see very often was amazing. Valerie came up yesterday to visit and come to Joshua's ultrasound. With her crazy busy lifestyle on the go I greatly appreciate the fact she made time to see me. She is going to be Joshua's God-Mother and I have known her since the day she was born. Her mom Rose was my moms Best Friend and where my middle name came from. Having a friend like Vals is nice, we go such long periods of time before seeing each other and yet we still can just pick up, hang out and laugh. I love her like a sister, and being around her I am very relaxed. A little bummed we did not dig out a curling iron and get on some crazy hair like when we were kids. LOL but there is plenty of time another get together to do so. Just happy to be able to start off my vacation and final pregnancy days on a positive note. =)
Making the positive changes and waiting things out have really paid off and Matt & I are very excited for everything to come in the future. We appreciate all the support and love we have had and continue to get. =)

Yikes Wiggles!!!
So we had our ultrasound today...
Joshua is estimated 6 pounds 4 ounces right now. (give or take)
He has been mini-raving it up a lot lately...
and I could of sworn I did see some glostiks in his little hands today during the ultrasound.
First thing we see when the radiologist put the doppler on my belly, his penis.LOL
Matt laughed and said yup showing off the goods!
Ultrasound was so clear today we could see his little fingers and toes.
So anxious for Joshua to be here. Matt is convinced he is coming early.
I dont care as long as it is after August 5th so I can finish working the summer program. =)
Appointments with the dietician tomorrow for diabetes and then to be hooked up
on the monitor for a bit=)
Cooked up some Lemon Pepper Chicken, Mushrooms zucchini & squash, mashed potatoes and peas
for dinner tonight for my parents and Matt. Mmmm nom nom nom!
Off to dreamland and probably another mini-rave! =)

8 weeks left...
Countdown is on.... 8 weeks till Joshua's arrival=)
Lots of good news this week, which was nice after a long depressing week alone last week stuck in the house with nothing to do, no one to talk to and no where to go. My blood sugar levels are staying consistent and the doc said Tuesday morning no insulin for now. So it is still just pokey time 4 times a day. The ultrasound was good on Tuesday night, Joshua was pretty good about sitting still this time and we actually got a few nice printouts. The radiologist was measuring his head and was like oh do you guys have big- and just stopped when she looked at Matt...LMAO! Matt laughed and said He is definetly mine! Perfect size body, and a pumpkin head like Daddy, aww geez I'm screwed...LOL
Last night we had a prenatal appointment and I was hooked up to the monitor on my belly for a No stress monitor for Joshua. 45 mins, I dozed off a couple times listening to his heartbeat until I was rudely awoken a few times by him kicking one of the dopplers on my upper tummy which made a loud static sound. Matt thought it was hilarious as he sat there playing Angry Birds.
Thankful I had Matt's Dad Mike Tuesday to take me to my appointment and then kidnap me for the day. We spent the morning hitting up antique junk shops, mid-morning snack time at Stonewall Kitchen, and then Dynasty buffet for lunch. We then spent the afternoon napping in the living room with Goofy and Gizmo at the Trailer until Matt got out of work and woke us up. We went to Newington to pick up Scott and hit up Babies R Us to find that the expensive highchair we wanted and really liked was on clearance so we quickly scooped that up for a hell of a lot cheaper then it was=)
Still some work to do in the nursery and the disposal of 4 bags of garbage from all the hangers and packages, and just organizing stuff. Also gotta see if we can find hardware for the crib or Joshua will be sleeping on a mattress on the floor..LOL
Lunch time now, and I gotta wake up Matt since he came home this morning from work with a pain in his neck and upper shoulder, hopefully he is feeling better if not I will be taking him to Urgent Care.. Leftover burgers and stuff, Nom nom nom... Feeding the Wiggle Monster within!

Keep on dancing till the world ends
See the sunlight, we ain't stopping
Keep on dancing till the world ends
If you feel it let it happen
Keep on dancing till the world ends ....-Britney Spears
Since the world is supposedly ending in less then 30 mins, Here is a quick blog in case aliens ever land and read up on us humans.
Apparently at 6pm the world will end here on this 21st day of May.
I am 25 weeks pregnant with Joshua now, he still has mini-raves.
I am stocked up on glo-stiks & freeze pops for this ending.
MJ is not feeling well and he is napping, so I am going to wake him up so he can watch the rest of Pirates of the Caribbean and wait for the world to end...
=) xo

He kicks like it's his job!
I am now 22 weeks in my pregnancy, it's a boy, his name is Joshua Michael Johnson and he kicks like it's his job! His current interests are breakdancing and giving me heartburn that keeps me up for quite a few hours a night. I told a co-worker this week I am carrying him very low and he kicks downwards alot to the point that I think he is trying to break my cervix and escape now. LOL! He reminds me of Stewie Griffin on Family Guy. I am anxious for him to come. Matt was excited the other day and said he cant wait to be a dad and have Joshua here. My parents got us a Dinosaur bedding set so the Dinosaur theme is on! Monkeys too! I am so excited for this! We find out on May 15th if the offer on the farm house goes through with the Dads. All of us are anxious for the sale to go through and start the repairs so we can move in. Unfortunately I will not be able to help with the painting process which I love to do. So painting day will be my gardening and yard work day.
I had an awesome April Vacation with my younger half sister Sara. My favorite part of having her was the Friday night she was dropped off to us, Matt was driving and Sara was in the back seat when we drove by a local farm that had cows and Sara started yelling OMG a cow a cow! Mooooo! LOL. It's amazing the littlest things most of us take for granted of ever seeing or doing that a 13 year old finds fascinating! A cow thats all it took to make her night. Sara left us on Easter Sunday evening and went back to her foster family. Currently my friend Michelle and I are trying to get her placed for Foster care in NH with Michelle. She has never had the experience of having family besides her mom and other siblings and our biological father when he was there. Never had family gatherings including aunts, uncles and cousins. I cant imagine not having my Aunts and Uncles in my life. My cousin Debra and I are more like sisters then cousins, there is nothing I wouldn't do for her. I wish I could just hit Powerball and fix and give everything for my sisters that they have not had and may never have.
Getting sleepy... so I am off to dreamland. =)
